Threads: Instagram’s New Twitter
First Facebook, then Instagram and WhatsApp. Now, we can add the Threads app to Meta's social media roster. Threads (available on both Android and IOS) is an extension of Instagram, but it's a Twitter dupe, only with a much more uplifting undertone. Like Twitter, it aims to get users to strike up a dialogue online, sans one of the web's most essential elements used to connect users to their interests—the hashtag. Hashtags are keyword phrases followed by the hash symbol, that enables online users to follow relevant information on a subject. With no way to look up topics on your own, Threads is powered by bright minds who strike up engaging conversations, and the individuals that interact with those who do. Toodaloo, Twitter Can there only be one popular text-based conversational app? As Twitter hangs on by a thread, Meta creates its own. Its simple, yet very familiar interface consists of a minimalist-style dashboard with a scroll-down style (that is very similar to Twitter's) intuitive menu. Why It Works Although Threads is a direct competitor of Twitter, it lacks many of the features that make Twitter distinct. Some of these several features include: Ads/Monetization Audio (Twitter Spaces) Direct messages Hashtag search capabilities Language translation Lists Polls Timeline customization Trending hashtags Getting Started With Threads by Meta For those who have yet to dip into the Threads pond, you're probably wondering if Threads is worth mastering, or if it will be just another fad. One of the advantages of using Threads is it's simple to use and with minimal features, it's also easy to grasp. As you navigate the app, here are some good tips to consider: You can add up to 500 characters of text You can add links You can add up to 10 photos or videos to create a carousel You can upload videos that are up to 5 minutes long You can upload GIFs (using a GIF keyboard or downloaded GIFs) Your video will display as 9:16 Your blocked list will be automatically transported to Threads Secret Threads Features While the Threads app appears to be simple and straightforward, there are some hidden features available that can also add more excitement to your experience on the app. You can modify who you receive likes and replies from (Settings - Notifications - Threads and Replies) You can receive reminders to take a break from Threads (Settings - Account- Take a Break) Mute profiles and view a list of the accounts you have muted (Settings - Privacy - Muted) View all of your interactions with Verified users you follow (Profile - Toggle from Threads to Verified) Exploring Threads on Your Own There's a new social media app in town. The Threads app by Meta is Twitter, but without the flashy ads, loud opinions, and drama. Oh, and without the hashtags. That means, you can forget navigating through the app for easy access to interest-based content. The beauty of Threads is that digital hustle and bustle of browsing through a sea of ideas and personalities (mostly from people who used to be minimized down to photos and...

6 Must-Have Crocs Charms and Jibbitz to Buy on Amazon
In 2006, Crocs acquired Jibbitz and 17 years later, they have become a staple in what makes Crocs shoes so special. For ventilation purposes, Crocs have always had holes. Today's Crocs sport portholes, or the holes designed to insert Jibbitz onto a Crocs shoe. From Goth Crocs to Kawaii Crocs, this has led to a phenomenon that empowers us fashion-forward individuals to express ourselves by designing our shoes to suit our unique interests and lifestyles. Once my Crocs Mega Crush Sandals arrived, I couldn't wait to start designing my own pair of customized Crocs. So I put my Prime membership to use and spent around $80 total on these must-have Crocs charms and Jibbitz on Amazon. 6. Crocs Jibbitz Deep Color Gem 5-Pack Crocs Jibbitz Deep Color Gem 5-Pack, Amazon.com These oversized, deep-color gemstones make my white Crocs Mega Crush sandals look regal and sleek. The pearl ensemble in the front elevates the look, and can accentuate white toes or a French manicure. The Crocs Jibbitz come as a 5-pack, so I purchased two to replace the style on both sandals at $24.99 each. I Want These 5. Crocs Jibbitz Double Chain 5-Pack If you're feeling edgy, add these to your white Mega Crush sandals. The thick gold chain elevates the look, while the short pearls and studded crystal give it a feminine allure. I had to have these, so I purchased two at $24.99 each. If they are an absolute must-have for you too, I can tell you they were worth every penny to me. I Want These 4. ZOKLU Croc Shoe Charms, Bling Fashion Crystal Diamond Pearl Charms There's something about these ZOKLU Croc Shoe Charms that screams soft punk glam. Could it be the sharp gold geometric shapes, or the transparent strikes strategically marking each corner of my feet's upper arch? What I love most about these is it comes with 24 pieces. Although the gold color looks like it may fade away fast, it was an affordable option that gives expensive when they're new and fresh out of the box. I Want These 3. Crocs Jibbitz Ethereal 5-Pack By combining the Crocs Jibbitz Etheral 5-Pack with some of the gold ZOKLU Croc Shoe Charms, I created a sleek, but color-vibrant look. By separating the deep green droplets, it draws more attention to them at each corner. Since this was a 5-pack and I purchased one, only 4 out of 5 gems were added to the sandals in this photo. I Want These 2. Acwenie Bling Shoe Charms Jewelry Accessories 21 Pcs Acwenie Bling Shoe Charms are an affordable and super cute option to accessorize your Crocs Mega Crush sandals. In terms of fashion, they are giving 1990s circa Mariah Carey Butterfly pop princess. However, there are a few things you should know about these Crocs charms. For starters, one of the charms broke immediately after photographing the photo above. It does come with 21 charms, but the low quality makes me wonder how long they will last. I...
