Best 2025 Super Bowl Commercials
Who else’s favorite part of Super Bowl Sunday is the commercials? With over 123 million viewers nationwide, it’s become an American tradition to tune in and see what new advertisements will be the talk of the year. From dancing NERDS Gummies to a cameo from Seal—reincarnated as a seal and serenading a boat of Mountain Dew drinkers—this year’s lineup was wildly surprising. But were they memorable?
Continue below to see some of the best 2025 Super Bowl commercials and the brands that will keep us talking about them all year long.
10. NERDS Gummy Clusters ft Shoboozey
Who would’ve expected country sensation, Shaboozey, to team up with NERDS for this epic Super Bowl 2025 commercial? The setting appears to be a lively New Orleans street where the singer unites with a marching band, a tandem of tiny NERDS Gummy Clusters, and their life-size mascot to sing a jazzy rendition of “What a Wonderful World.”
9. Big Game: Jeep
And the most clever celebrity endorsement goes to… Jeep for its ironic two-minute Super Bowl commercial featuring legendary actor, Harrison Ford. Yes, coincidentally, he has the same last name as a rival car manufacturer.
Like Jeep, “Owner’s Manual,” directed by Academy Award-nominated James Mangold, was crafted with precision and with the consumer in mind. Its message was very on-brand with the spirit of patriotism, as Ford reflects on life’s journey and the freedom of choice.
“The longest thing we ever do is live our lives, but life doesn’t come with an owner’s manual… it might’ve been nice. But that means we get to write our own stories,” says Ford.
The theme not only enhances the brand’s image of resilience and exploration but also resonates deeply with audiences, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to those who carve their own paths. Ford jokingly concludes the ad by emphasizing his power of choice by expressing his love for his Jeep, even though his name is, “Ford”, he whispers.
8. A Century of Cravings: Uber Eats
Why is Uber Eats’ “A Century of Cravings” one of the best 2025 Super Bowl ads? It has left the world with the impression that football is just one big conspiracy to sell food.
Well, they don’t call it a Super Bowl for nothing…
Matthew McConaughey stars in this Uber Eats commercial, which explores how marketers have cultivated a connection between football and food to drive demand during the season. Uber Eats is known for its genius commercials, and this year marks its fifth consecutive creative ad in the Super Bowl Sunday lineup.
7. Safe For Work: Liquid Death
Liquid Death’s “Safe For Work” ad stands out as one of the best 2025 Super Bowl commercials due to its cunning use of humor. The canned water company has its own unique position in the beverage business, as it relies on the ambiguity of its brand identity to cultivate popular advertisements that entice consumers to give it a try. In this Super Bowl ad, everyone from judges and pilots to cops and elderly bus drivers are encouraged to, “Drink on the job.”
6. Kiss from a Lime: Mountain Dew Baja Blast
Anyone who has seen “Kiss from a Lime” by Mountain Dew can agree that it was a rather entertaining Super Bowl commercial. However, some viewers also found the ad to be a little bizarre and quite disturbing. It starts with Mexican-American singer, Becky G, and the brand’s swagged-out mascot Mountain Dude opening a Mountain Dew Baja Blast in the kitchen. They are immediately transported to a tropical island where they meet Seal reincarnated as a seal singing what initially sounds like his pop ballad “Kiss from a Rose,” but it’s the pop parody version, “Kiss From a Lime.”
The power of brand association, or a mental connection consumers make with a brand when certain attributes, qualities, concepts, or experiences come to mind, will encourage this generation of soda drinkers to think of this classic hit when they take a sip of the fizzy, pop goodness of a Mountain Dew Baja Blast.
The controversy surrounding this commercial has also made it one of the most talked about ads of the year, which has also helped it earn a spot as one of the most memorable Super Bowl ads of 2025.
5. We’re Here: Instacart
This year, grocery delivery and pick-up platform, Instacart, debuts its very first Super Bowl commercial, “We’re Here.”
The 30-second ad features actor, Isaiah Mustafa, also known as the “Old Spice Guy” (these commercial actors aren’t loyal), and a massive lineup of several mascots from brands we know and love, including the Energizer Bunny, Chester Cheetah, Mr. Clean, and even the Kool-Aid man.
What makes this Instacart ad one of the best 2025 Super Bowl Commercials?
Aside from selecting the perfect theme song, “Take It to the House” by Trick Daddy ft. Trina & The Slip-N-Slide Express, this high-energy ad was highly successful at triggering nostalgia while getting the world amped up to cheer on their favorite football team to victory.
4. Act Like You Know: GoDaddy
After an eight-year hiatus, popular internet domain registry and web hosting company, GoDaddy, returns to the Super Bowl Sunday lineup to debut, “Act Like You Know,” featuring Emmy-nominated actor Walton Goggins. In this 2025 Super Bowl commercial, Goggins breaks the fourth wall to reveal a Hollywood secret:
“Actors, we can make you believe we know what we’re doing when, in fact, we do not.”
Like actors, small business owners are faced with the challenge of wearing many hats, without knowing exactly how their everyday decisions could impact their bottom line. The brand positions GoDaddy Airo, an AI-powered tool, as a solution that can help boost the productivity of the digital renaissance man by creating professional websites, logos, social media content, and more.
3. Pfizer: Knock Out
The power of inspiration takes form in Pfizer’s 2025 Super Bowl commercial, “Knock Out.” A sick, young boy pulls at our heartstrings when a wrestling match on television empowers him to rise from his hospital bed and emerge as a boxing champion who is victorious in his battle against cancer. The world cheers him on as he walks back to his family to return to his childhood home.
If you’ve ever lost a friend or a loved one to cancer, the emotional appeal of this ad will resonate with your desire to see them heal and regain a sense of normalcy. While pharmaceutical ads generally tend to struggle to capture viewers’ attention, “Knock Out” stood out from the rest, earning a 4.4-star rating on Test Your Ad, exceeding the national average.
2. The Intelligence Age: ChatGPT
ChatGPT, a generative artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot by OpenAI, debuts its one-minute ad, “The Intelligence Age,” which is one of the best 2025 Super Bowl commercials for several reasons. For starters, the brand spent $8 million on the time slot alone to capture the attention of millions of viewers who were tuning in to see the big game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs–little did they know they would also be part of a historical moment for ChatGPT–who was airing its first commercial ever.
This cinematic, thought-provoking ad blends past and future, as it showcases minimalist pixel art that displays how AI empowers individuals—from entrepreneurs to artists—to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
1. The ULTRA Hustle: Michelob ULTRA
How hard are you willing to work for an ice-cold Michelob ULTRA? Renowned actors Willem Dafoe and Catherine O’Hara star as unexpected pickleball hustlers in Michelob’s 2025 Super Bowl commercial, “The ULTRA Hustle,” where they target professional athletes to win over cherished beverages.
In this 30-second commercial, the couple swindles a long list of professional athletes–like NFL legend Randy Moss, Olympic gold medalist Ryan Crouser, and WNBA champion Sabrina Ionescu–by defeating them in a game of pickleball. In my opinion, this is the best 2025 Super Bowl commercial because it taps into the competitive spirit of Super Bowl Sunday while encouraging consumers to participate in their own hustle for a Michelob ULTRA.
Michelob ULTRA has partnered with online food ordering and delivery company, DoorDash, to launch Play for ULTA, an interactive challenge leveraging experiential marketing, or a memorable experience tied to a marketing campaign that is used to get customers to engage with a brand.
Were These Really the Best 2025 Super Bowl Ads?
Every year, we look forward to viewing an impressive lineup of Super Bowl ads that will inspire us and get us through the year. However, many viewers have been sounding off about the lackluster appeal of this year’s commercials.
J Barbush, Founder of Cast Iron LA believes Super Bowl ads these days rely far too much on celebrity endorsements. With 40% of last year’s Super Bowl ads featuring more than one celebrity cameo, he may be onto something. Aside from the overuse of celebrity endorsements, a study from Ipsos revealed 17% felt that 2025 provided less diversity than previous years.
Could marketers have done better with this year’s Super Bowl ads? Absolutely. Spending $8 million to place a mediocre ad for the world to see is simply a missed opportunity, and it can do more harm to a brand’s reputation than good. Was the criticism too harsh, or did they have a point?
