Sol de Janeiro released a new product right in time for the holidays. Delícia Drench Body Butter is a nutty body butter distinguished by its deep purple container. Given it’s the first body butter released by the brand, I had to purchase it the moment it was released on December 21, 2023, and compare it to my Sol de Janeiro favorites.
Will it live up to the Sol de Janeiro name? I tried Delícia Drench by Sol de Janeiro, so you don’t have to. Here’s what I discovered about the brand’s unique body butter product.

If you are a fan of the famous Sol de Janeiro body creams, there is one critical fact you must know before investing in its Delícia Drench product. Delícia Drench is a body butter. It is not a body cream, like the others. Personally, the beautiful fragrances infused in the brand’s body butters and creams are one of my favorite parts of the Sol de Janeiro product experience.
While it does get the job done, it pales in comparison to the famous Brazilian Bum Bum Cream and its scent is not as captivating as the Beija Flor-Elasti-Cream either.
Would I recommend Delícia Drench Body Butter to a friend?
To be honest, Delícia Drench Body Butter is okay, but there is nothing exceptional about it. As a result, I probably would not recommend this one to a friend. Although this particular body butter is not the most impressive release by Sol de Janeiro, it’s a great product for individuals seeking the luxurious benefits of Sol de Janeiro products, without the heavy fragrance scent.
